Trinitarian Light

Lord, how often have we forgotten

that we need to climb the mountains

of our life so that we may witness

the unexpected glory of your transfiguration?

Before your suffering on the cross,

you showed your disciples

the light of your glory,

the promise of heaven.

Unable as we are to see

the fullness of your light,

let our souls shine in your light.

Let our hearts grow in your golden light.

Unable as we are to see

the fullness of your glory,

let our light be transformed

that we may transform others.

Let our life be transfigured

that we may be the light to others.

Don’t leave us in the dark road

of our selfish desires.

Don’t leave us in in the dark mountain

of apathy and indifference.

Don’t leave us in the dark river of pride.

Lord grant us the grace to transform our life

in your glorified light.
