Official Receipts During the Spanish Colonial Period.

If only today’s receipts are as beautiful  as those which business establishments issued during the Spanish colonial period.  We have Bazar Oriental owned by Juan Munoz de Bustillo located at Calle de San Juan de Letran No 5 that shows the bazar’s building  as focal point of the beautiful design. Next we have another shop located at Escolta No. 4, Almacen de la India Inglesa that sells various wares from India, China, and Japan. Finally, we have the receipt of La Puerta del Sol owned by J.F. Ramirez with stores located at Escolta and Calle Real at Iloilo. Source: Censo de Poblacion, 1888-1896 Manila, SDS 19559. Philippine National Archives.
