The Beautiful Fire Tree Along Estero de Sampaloc, Fajardo Bridge

Just a few meters away from Fajardo Bridge stands a fire tree whose orange-red colors paints a prayer of beauty against the badly polluted blackness of Estero de Sampaloc. As the leaves of the fire-tree fall into the estero, only seconds remains before the colors of red-yellow disappear into this foul-odored grave. Forgive us oh fire tree, waters of life we have turned into a stream of decay and death. When shall we clean our waters so that the estero becomes worthy of your beauty?
