Jaro Cathedral Ossuary, Iloilo, circa 2015

The curator of Museo Santisima Trinidad took an unexpected tour of the back of Jaro Cathedral Iloilo and discovered a beautiful ossuary built around 1996. The small gate opened to a view of an image of a grieving Mary (Peita) just in front of a “langka” (jackfruit) tree.
